Day/PM, weekends as needed
Reporting to the Special Programs Coordinator, is responsible for facilitating each member’s connection with The Wellness Center. Assists members with their use of the fitness, health and wellness programming options to increase levels of member satisfaction, referrals and retention. Provides program design and training progression options to members who are primarily apparently healthy and who are high risk. Informs new and current members on the benefits of regular exercise and orients new members on the proper use of the facilities and equipment to ensure safe and effective workouts. Solicits prospective clients both inside and outside of the club to develop and individual client base and assists in the growth and success of the special programs department. Level III will serve as a Mentor and/or Educator to Level 1 and Level 2 Pilates reformer staff.
1. The level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent work experience.
2. Level 1 - Pilates Reformer Level 1 & 2
Level II - Pilates Reformer Level 1 & 2, Pilates Mat Level 1 & 2 Certification
Level III - Pilates Reformer Level 1 & 2, Pilates Mat Level 1 & 2 Certification and additional training in special populations and Pilates educational instruction by one of the following approved agencies: Pilates Institute of America (PIA); Physical Mind, Stott, Balance Body
3. CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
4. Completion of continuing education hours per year required to maintain Pilates Certifications.
